Fietshangar Bike Lockers Support Refugee Cycling Lessons in Leidschendam

In early June 2025, Fietshangar installed a second bike storage unit for VluchtelingenWerk Nederland, a national organization dedicated to supporting refugees in building a new life in the Netherlands. One of their many integration programs is teaching newcomers how to cycle, a key part of Dutch daily life and independence.

In Leidschendam, dedicated instructors guide refugees through cycling lessons. At the moment, Fietshangar stores thirteen bikes plus a stationary training bike, however with the program growing steadily, a second hangar was added to keep up with demand.
