New York City demo project

The Fietshangar 2.5N has been launched as part of the New York City Department of Transportation's Secure Bike Parking demo, together with partners Tranzito, Bikeep, MetroBike and Metro Express. The demo gives residents of walk-up apartment buildings, which rarely have indoor bike storage, a secure place to park on their own street.

Each unit holds six bikes and opens with digital access rather than a key. It can be placed on the sidewalk or in an existing car parking space. NYC DOT expects around 500 units to come online in the initial phase.

New York is Fietshangar's first deployment in the United States, built to the same certified standard as the more than 1,100 Fietshangars in Rotterdam.

Updated pricing and configurations

Fietshangar has updated its pricing and configuration options, with the Value configuration improved to include a wider variety of options such as lock hitching bars and digital access control.

In addition to these configurations, custom configurations include perforated or solid side panels, any RAL colour powdercoating and e-bike charging. Pricing follows the configuration you choose, so the calculator below lets you put together your own setup before requesting a quote.

Trade mission to Poland

In September Fietshangar joined a trade mission to Poland, organised through the Dutch Cycling Embassy and RVO. The visit started in Wrocław, then continued to Katowice and Kraków.

The mission was coordinated with Rowerado, Fietshangar's partner in Poland. We look forward to seeing more cycling growth to match the growing investment in infrastructure.
