Made from 98% circular materials and assembled through social employment programs, they cut street clutter, boost cycling, and show how sustainability and impact can ride together.

Cycling in Dublin just got a major boost with the arrival of the BikeBunkers. In collaboration with Bleeper and Dublin City Council, these innovative Fietshangar offer a secure, convenient solution for bike parking in the city. This week marked a significant milestone as the first two BikeBunkers were assembled and installed in Stoneybatter, setting the stage for a wider rollout across Dublin.

Scandicci is piloting ten Fietshangar units, Italy’s first shared, neighbourhood bike parking. Each smart locker stores 6 bikes and is accessible via the Biclò app, offering secure, weather-protected storage. This initiative, in collaboration with Fondazione CR Firenze, LegaCoop, and Biclò, showcases how municipalities can make everyday cycling easier and more sustainable.
